Our favorite whitewater rafting trip in Pagosa offers a busy start through technical boulder-filled rapids and finishes by crashing through the waves of the whitewater park right in downtown Pagosa. The middle part of the trip is a leisurely meandering float through the upper west fork San Juan river valley to relax and enjoy the scenery. The best part is that from the last wave crashing over the boat it is only about 10 minutes back to our shop and your dry, warm clothes. What the River Flow Means For Rafting

The River Gauge in Pagosa gives flow in CFS – cubic feet per seconds.  River levels can fluctuate daily based on snow melt and rainfall.

  • below 400 = Too low to raft, tubing
  • 400-800 = low
  • 800-1500 = medium
  • 1500-2400 = medium/high
  • 2400-3600 = high
  • 3600-up= really high
